![]() Jude Marston, LCSW-C. A founding partner of The Chrysalis Group, Jude has devoted over 25 years to counseling and coaching adults and adolescents in creating and sustaining fulfilling and authentic lives. In a world that's become increasingly complex, her mission is simple: to guide people who want to transform - in their work lives, in relationships, or within - bringing more of their best to every present moment. Jude particularly enjoys helping people discover ways to break out of limiting habitual thoughts that cause unnecessary pain. By aligning insight with action, her clients find concrete yet mindful ways to create personal freedom and lasting changes. Since 1986, Jude has also served as a director of Operation Extinguish, a program for youth involved in deviant fire-related activity, provided in partnership with Montgomery County's Department of Fire and Rescue Services. She is a licensed clinical social worker, a certified Enneagram Teacher in the Narrative Tradition, and a certified Cultural Transformational Tools® consultant. She earned a BA and a BS from George Mason University, and a graduate degree from The Catholic University of America, where she currently is a part-time faculty member at the NCSSS graduate program. ![]() Judy Wendkos Liss, LCSW-C provides individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults. She is also the lead clinician for the Operation Extinguish Program, conducting intake evaluations and psychoeducational groups with juveniles involved in fire-related incidents and their families. Judy has worked in a wide variety of settings including schools, residential treatment facilities, and community mental health centers. She specializes in adolescent and young adult psychotherapy and helps her clients with issues such as social skills, depression, anxiety, anger management, and identity development. In addition to working with adolescents, Judy enjoys coaching parents on communicating effectively with their teens. Judy's clients and their families appreciate her attentiveness to details and her warm and nurturing personality. She encourages a collaborative process in therapy to help her clients identify the stressors and behaviors that cause distress in their lives. Judy enlists clients' personal strengths to help them problem-solve and build successful and supportive relationships. Judy earned her MSW in 2002 from the Smith College School for Social Work. She graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis in 1997 where she majored in Spanish and International Studies. Judy is a member of the Greater Washington Clinical Social Work Society and is proficient in Spanish. |
![]() John Marston, Ph.D. Dr. Marston has over thirty years of experience as a special education teacher, special education principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, and as a central office administrator of alternative school programs and character education. For fifteen years he has been an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia, the George Washington University, and currently with the Johns Hopkins University. His has presented at a broad range of professional conferences and led professional development workshops in a wide range of subject areas. In addition to his skills in behavior management, instruction, and teacher training, areas of expertise include facilitation and problem solving for working groups, recognizing the diversity of abilities, styles of individual group members, and conflict resolution. Dr. Marston is particularly interested in the area of vocational renewal, collaborative learning, and restorative justice. |
![]() Kim W. Piasecki, NCC, CCFC provides individual and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She is a clinician for the Operation Extinguish Program, conducting psychoeducational groups and intake evaluations with juveniles involved in fire-related incidents, and their families. Kim recently moved from New Jersey, where she was a Licensed Professional Counselor, providing outpatient therapy for a community mental health center. Kim specializes in child and adolescent issues including sexual abuse, adoption and foster care, ADHD, bipolar disorder and depression, and behavioral problems, including firesetting. In addition to working with children and teens individually, Kim feels it is necessary to conduct family therapy to address issues occurring with the family system. She also enjoys working with adults in individual therapy to tackle such problems as depression and anxiety. Kim earned her M.S. in Counseling Psychology in 1991 from Northeastern University. She graduated with honors from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 1989 where she majored in Psychology. Kim is a National Certified Counselor and a Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor. She is also a member of the American Psychological Association. |
